Calling all healthcare professionals, designers, makers, service or UX designers, developers, communication experts, creatives or students who want to contribute to supporting communities in Southeast London to improve their health, FEAST’s Hack for Food, Hack for Good is the event for you: sign up here

Through the FEAST project, OpenDot – a fablab and research and open innovation hub based in Milan -  in collaboration with King's Health Partners, HIN - Health Innovation Network South London and NHS South East London Integrated Care System, is launching a call to participate in the London FEAST hackathon to support people in Southeast London to live healthier lifestyles and adopt healthier diets.

Through this hackathon, you and your team will ideate and develop solutions to promote the adoption of healthier lifestyles and create a positive step-change to improve health and reduce health inequalities.

Participating in "Hack for Food, Hack for Good" means collaborating, co-creating and learning new skills in a creative environment during which you will be joined by OpenDot designers and makers, international mentors (from King's Health Partners and WHO Europe), partners of the FEAST project, and industry experts.

The teams will compete to develop a project concept, and win a two month prize of mentorship, prototyping in a fab lab, acceleration of the idea, and a series of prizes.

Who can apply?

Participation is open to

●    groups and teams of up to 5 people
●    individuals

Candidates who propose themselves as singles will be brought together in teams. Groups of less than 5 people may be associated with other participants.

You can also apply for your own project, concept, or idea already in development if it meets the themes and objectives of the hackathon.

Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London is the health innovation network for south London, one of 15 across England. They are the body uniquely established to connect NHS and academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry, in order to increase the spread and adoption of innovation across large populations, at pace and scale.

King's Health Partners (KHP) is an academic health science centre located in London, United Kingdom. It comprises King's College London, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. For nearly a decade, KHP has been doing pioneering work to promote health and prevent disease for the over 2 million people living in South London.
